We lost concentration in the last minutes – Mohammed Kudus

Midfielder Mohammed Kudus says the Black Stars were undone by a lack of concentration in their last Group B encounter against Mozambique.

Ghana took a two-goal lead and were on their way to the second round, but Mozambique scored two stoppage-time penalties to secure a point in the game and also to ensure that Ghana fails to deliver in another African Cup of Nations.

Kudus, who was visibly disappointed said after the game that even though the team showed a lot of quality, they lost focus when it mattered most.

“We showed lots of qualities here but losing focus at the end cost us.

“I’m very disappointed, we really wanted this victory, but it wasn’t to be”, the midfielder added.

The failure to hold on to the victory painfully reminded Kudus of the second game against Egypt.

“We lost the game by losing concentration in the last minutes, like against Egypt too.

“It’s a big disappointment for us”, Kudus concluded.
