2023 African Games: Ghana and Nigeria to play for Gold in Women’s soccer

West African rivals Ghana and Nigeria will battle for Gold in the Women’s soccer competition at the ongoing 13^th African Games in Accra, Ghana.

Hosts Ghana secured a ticket to the final after dispatching Senegal 3-1. Tracy Twum scored the first goal for the Black Princesses in the 18th minute before Ophelia Amponsah added two more goals to the tally in the 45^th and 55^th minutes respectively. Senegal’s only goal came in the 53^rd minute through a spot kick.

Defending champions Nigeria booked a ticket to the grand finale after defeating Uganda 2-0.

The West African giants will settle the score on Thursday as both teams fight for the golden fleece.

Senegal and Uganda will fight for the third place and a Bronze medal.
