2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers: Black Stars regroup in search of ticket to North America

Ghana’s senior national soccer team, the Black Stars will regroup next week to continue the search for a ticket to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
After six rounds of matches, the Black Stars sit aloft the Group I table with 15 points and are looking forward to inch closer to qualification.
The Ghanaians will hope to consolidate their lead when they engage Chad at Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno on Thursday, September 4.
Then, on Monday September 8, the Stars will welcome fellow West Africans, Mali to the Accra Sports Stadium.
Head Coach Otto Addo has invited 24 players for the qualifiers. Among the invited players are Union Berlin left-back Derrick Arthur Köhn, who earns a first senior call-up.
There were call-ups for the likes of Antine Semenyo, Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus, Inaki Williams and Jordan Ayew while Caleb Yirenkyi returns to the team after impressing the Black Stars coaches during the Unity Cup in London.
