We are hungry for success – Black Queens coach warns after WAFCON qualification

Coach of Ghana’s senior female side, Nora Hauptle has warned the rest of Africa that the Black Queens are hungry to play on the continent’s biggest stage again.

The Black Queens survived a scare when they lost 0-1 to Namibia away in the second leg of the final Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifier.

The defeat could not stop the Queens from qualifying for the 2024 WAFCON as they win the series 3-2.

“The performance today is closed because we have qualified for the WAFCON and we are hungry and willing to play there”, she noted.

Coach Hauptle said her girls deserve the qualification and they will be ready for the challenge on the biggest stage again.

She was proud of the team for winning 10 games out of 11 matches played this year.
