Ghana’s U-20 men’s national team secured a dramatic victory over Senegal to book a ticket to the grand finale of the 13th African Games men’s soccer competition.

The Black Satellites defeated their Senegalese counterparts 1-0 thanks to an 83rd minute strike by substitute Michael Ephson.

The hosts will lock horns with Uganda who defeated Congo 4-2 in the other semifinal. With two goals down, Uganda fought back with four unanswered goals thanks to a brace each by Abass Kyeyune and Bruno Bunyaga.

Ghana coach Desmond Addo was happy for the fans who turned up to support the hosts.

“We knew that we had to dig deep, and we did. I am really happy for the boys and the fans.”

He admitted that the final against Uganda would be intense but enjoyable.

Friday’s final is scheduled for the Accra Stadium.
