The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released the list of match officials that will officiate in the Cote d’Ivoire 2023 TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The 68 match officials include some highly experienced match officials from across the continent who have officiated at several CAF international competitions.
According to CAF, the match officials comprise of 26 referees, 30 assistant referees, and 12 VAR referees who will oversee the competition set to take place in Cote d’Ivoire between January 13 and February 11.
All selected referees are expected to arrive in Cote d’Ivoire on January 5, 2024, for a refresher course which will be inclusive of physical and theoretical testing of all officials.
