Ghana coach names 29-man provisional squad as Stars embark on training camp in Dubai

Head coach of the Black Stars, Kwasi Appiah, has named a 29-man squad in his provisional list for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for Egypt next month.

The squad will gather in Dubai, UAE for a pre-tournament training camp where they will play two warm up matches against South Africa and Namiba before the coach will trim the squad down to the final 23 for the tournament.

Among the 29 players are three goalkeepers, ten defenders, eleven midfielders and five strikers.

There were two American-based players – Jonathan Mensah and Ebenzer Ofori.

Apart from the players and the permanent technical team, seven more backroom staff have been added to the team.

They are coaches David Duncan, Didi Mas- Ud Draman and Sellas tetteh (Scouts), Patrick Ofori (Psychologist), Samuel Kwame Ankomah (Masseur), Jermaine Lopia (Video & match analyst) and Simon Copley (Physical trainer).
