Chicago Fire’s David Accam constructs ultramodern pitch for his community in Ghana

Ghana and Chicago Fire striker David Accam has joined forces with former school, Right to Dream (RtD) Academy to give back to his community and help shape the future of other soccer talents in Ghana’s second largest city, Kumasi.

RtD has opened a new branch in Kumasi and within the new school is the newly constructed David Accam Community Pitch.

Accam as a Right to Dream graduate is demonstrating his commitment to giving back to his community and help develop the upcoming young soccer talents in Ghana.

In a brief chat with Ghana Soccer US (, Accam said the pitch which is opened to everyone in the community will go a long way to unearth soccer talents for Ghana.

“It is part of my giving back commitment to the country and it is something that can benefit the community because it is open to everyone”.

He thanked all those who made the project a reality.

“This has become a reality thanks to the help of Right to Dream, Tullow Oil and Enas Hybrid School”, Accam added.
